Metric Music Therapy SERVICES

MMT provides neurologic music therapy services on an individual or group basis in Orange & Los Angeles Counties. Services are
available for treatment, consultations, and presentations.

The highest quality of therapy is maintained and MMT follows the American Music Therapy Association's Code of Ethics and
Standards of Practice. All services are provided by a Board Certified Neurologic Music Therapist.

The interventions used are scientifically supported and data and progress are measured throughout sessions. The treatment uses
music to address functional, non-musical behaviors with the goal of transferring these behaviors to non-musical settings. The needs
are met of each individual by employing the
Transformational Design Model (TDM).

1. Assessment of strengths and needs
2. Functional goals & objectives are created to meet the needs of each individual
3. Non-musical skills in regard to needs are identified specifically (i.e. speech initiation)
4. Translation of non-musical exercise to MUSICAL exercise (i.e. singing)
5. Transfer of skills to functional, non-musical environments
